Poets&Quants has released its 11th annual Best & Brightest MBAs feature, spotlighting 100 full-time MBA graduates from the Class of 2025 who have shown remarkable accomplishments and leadership potential. This year's list is notable for its diversity, with women comprising 60% of the honorees and 54 students hailing from international backgrounds. Jeff Schmitt, a senior writer at Poets&Quants, emphasized the entrepreneurial drive and innovative capabilities of this year's selections.
Among the standout graduates are Simi Shah from the Wharton School, recognized in Forbes' 2025 '30 Under 30' in Media and invited twice to the White House, and Mark O'Connell from the University of Michigan's Ross School, who played a key role in updating the U.S. Marines combat training curriculum. Amanda Golden, another honoree, made a significant career shift from covering presidential elections for NBC News to entering the venture capital arena.
The selection process was rigorous, involving nominations from 82 leading graduate business schools globally. A total of 220 candidates were considered, with evaluations based on their extracurricular activities, academic and professional milestones, thoughtful responses to questions, and endorsements from faculty members. The Boston Consulting Group stands out as the leading employer among this elite group, having hired eight of the featured MBAs.
Each selected graduate will be profiled in detail, offering insights into their journeys, successes, and viewpoints. This feature is part of Poets&Quants' ongoing effort to celebrate outstanding business students, complementing their recent acknowledgments of top undergraduate business majors and forthcoming highlights on Executive and Online MBA programs.
