US SIF: The Sustainable Investment Forum has announced the appointment of Jennifer (Jenny) Coombs as its new Head of Content and Development. With over fifteen years of experience in financial services, including roles in equity research, trading, and portfolio management, Coombs is poised to significantly contribute to the organization's mission. Her previous work includes developing the Chartered SRI Counselor (CSRIC) designation program, which has seen over 1,400 professionals enroll under her guidance at The College for Financial Planning.
Coombs' expertise in sustainable investing education is expected to play a pivotal role in her new position. Maria Lettini, CEO of US SIF, expressed confidence in Coombs' ability to collaborate with wealth managers, advisors, and academics to deepen the understanding of sustainable investing. This appointment comes at a time when sustainable investing is gaining momentum, with US SIF members managing or advising $5 trillion in assets focused on generating positive social and environmental impacts.
Before joining US SIF, Coombs served as the director of client success for Ethos ESG, where she assisted users in navigating ESG reporting and analysis. Her accolades include being named an Investment News 40 Under 40 honoree in 2023 and receiving the Faculty of the Year award from The College for Financial Planning in 2022. Coombs holds a Master of Science in Finance from The College for Financial Planning and a bachelor's degree in Financial Analysis and Political Science from Clarkson University.
In her new role, Coombs aims to further US SIF's commitment to keeping sustainable investing at the forefront of financial discussions. Her extensive background and achievements underscore the potential for significant advancements in sustainable investing education and practices, benefiting the industry and the broader world.
