The National Association of Fleet Administrators (NAFA) is set to transform fleet management education with two groundbreaking vehicle experiences at its 2025 Institute & Expo (I&E). These initiatives are designed to give fleet professionals unparalleled access to the newest electric and alternative fuel vehicles through immersive test track and driving opportunities.
The Indoor EV Test Track, taking place on Tuesday, April 29, and Wednesday, April 30, will offer attendees the chance to experience the latest electric vehicles as passengers. Leading manufacturers such as Ford, Lucid, Nissan, PoleStar, Rivian, Volkswagen, and Volvo will participate, with Inspiration Fleet sponsoring a viewing lounge near the event's check-in area.
On Wednesday, April 30, the Outdoor Ride & Drive Experience will allow participants to personally test drive innovative vehicles from manufacturers including Mercedes Benz, Toyota, Ram Professional, and UPower. This hands-on opportunity is crucial for fleet managers to directly evaluate the performance and applicability of emerging vehicle technologies in their operations.
NAFA CEO Bill Schankel highlighted the importance of these events, stating they reflect the swift progress in electric vehicle and alternative fuel technologies. The experiences are part of a comprehensive conference that includes over 40 educational sessions and networking opportunities, aimed at fostering knowledge exchange and collaboration among fleet professionals.
The conference will also feature sponsors from the automotive and fleet management sectors, such as Enterprise Fleet Management, Geotab, Holman, and Penske Transportation Solutions, showcasing the wide-ranging industry support for advancing fleet mobility solutions.
With NAFA members managing mobility requirements for commercial, public safety, and government vehicle fleets, controlling assets and services worth over $122 billion annually, the 2025 Institute & Expo serves as a vital forum for professionals to explore and adopt the latest in transportation technologies. The event underscores the industry's shift towards sustainable and efficient fleet management practices, particularly in the fast-growing electric and alternative fuel vehicle markets.
