Chevo, a women-owned small business with a focus on management consulting, has recently been named one of six awardees for a substantial contract with the Internal Revenue Service (IRS). This Blanket Purchase Agreement (BPA), potentially worth up to $300 million over five years, is designated to offer non-IT consulting support services to the IRS's Taxpayer Services division, previously known as Wage & Investment (W&I). The contract was secured through the GSA Multiple Award Schedule (MAS), highlighting Chevo's enduring partnership with the IRS since its inception in 2002.
Under this agreement, Chevo is tasked with delivering a wide array of management consulting services. These services are designed to bolster the strategic goals of the Taxpayer Services division, encompassing strategic planning, organizational studies, business process improvement, and more. The overarching aim is to aid the IRS in refining taxpayer services, facilitating easier compliance with tax responsibilities, and enhancing workforce performance.
Zaina Sahady, CEO of Chevo, remarked on the honor of being selected for this contract, emphasizing the company's 22-year collaboration with the IRS and its commitment to supporting the agency's mission. This contract is especially pertinent at a time when there is a heightened emphasis on upgrading government services and efficiency. Chevo's role, along with the other awardees, is expected to be pivotal in the IRS's efforts to modernize its operations and improve taxpayer interactions.
Chevo's reputation for excellence is not only reflected in its longstanding relationship with the IRS but also in its accolades, including multiple recognitions by the Alliance for Workplace Excellence and Consulting Magazine. As the IRS navigates the challenges of system modernization and service enhancement, the expertise provided by Chevo and its peers under this BPA will be vital in fostering meaningful improvements and achieving the agency's objectives of superior service delivery and operational efficiency.
