Chelsea Piers Fitness has significantly expanded its presence in New York City with the opening of a luxurious 60,000-square-foot fitness club in the Flatiron District. This new facility, located at 308 Park Ave S in One Madison Avenue, represents a major step forward in the brand's mission to redefine the fitness experience in the city. Developed in partnership with SL Green, the club spans four floors and is equipped with cutting-edge amenities designed to meet the modern fitness enthusiast's needs.
The Flatiron club features a contrast therapy suite, meticulously designed locker rooms with steam and sauna experiences, and unique studio spaces that incorporate salt walls and infrared technology. David Tewksbury, CEO and Co-Founder of Chelsea Piers Fitness, highlighted the club's role as a community hub, emphasizing its design to foster social engagement and wellness. The facility includes a dedicated floor for co-working and social experiences, alongside Roman bath-inspired recovery spaces, underscoring its commitment to building a sense of community among members.
Collaborating with Dan Fink Studio, Chelsea Piers Fitness has created a space that blends modernity with New York City's rich architectural heritage. The club's design includes industrial red trusses and a grand staircase, paying homage to the original Chelsea Piers location. Amenities such as Himalayan salt-covered walls, infrared yoga studios, and a co-ed contrast therapy suite with a 10-person infrared sauna set this club apart. With over 120 weekly boutique classes and state-of-the-art equipment, including the exclusive Symbio treadmills from Life Fitness, the club offers an unparalleled fitness experience.
The opening of this facility is part of the larger One Madison Avenue development by SL Green Realty Corp., aiming to provide a cutting-edge healthy work environment. Chelsea Piers Fitness's new Flatiron District club not only expands its footprint in NYC but also raises the bar for premium fitness experiences, combining advanced wellness technology with a strong focus on community well-being.
