SLF Greece, a key distributor of KIKO MILANO products, has taken a significant leap in supply chain optimization by implementing ToolsGroup's SO99+ software, in collaboration with Greek partner THellas. This strategic move shifts SLF's operations from a supply-driven to a demand-driven model, enhancing efficiency across its omnichannel retail network. The software's deployment across more than 30 retail stores and two distribution centers in Greece and Cyprus, managing around 2,500 active items, underscores its scalability and effectiveness.
The automation introduced by SO99+ has streamlined SLF's supply chain processes, enabling two central planners to oversee demand across all sales channels. This includes generating optimal inventory and purchasing proposals, as well as facilitating stock transfers between locations. Tilemachos Stylianos, Chief Development Officer of Fais Group, SLF's parent company, highlighted the importance of ToolsGroup's global leadership and local presence in Greece for the project's success.
Customized by THellas, SO99+ has provided SLF with a highly automated planning process, improved network visibility, and optimized inventory levels. Goldie Panovlepi, General Manager at SLF, praised the system for automating daily store replenishment plans and generating strategic purchase recommendations. The software's success has prompted plans to extend its use to SLF's operations in Bulgaria and Romania.
This implementation not only positions SLF to better respond to market and consumer demands but also sets a precedent for the retail industry. The move towards demand-driven supply chain models, supported by advanced planning tools like SO99+, could become a critical differentiator in the competitive retail landscape. The collaboration between ToolsGroup, THellas, and SLF exemplifies the value of combining global expertise with local support in achieving technological transformation.
As retailers increasingly seek to optimize operations and meet evolving consumer expectations, the adoption of sophisticated supply chain solutions like SO99+ may become essential. SLF's experience demonstrates the potential for such technologies to revolutionize retail supply chain management, offering lessons for the industry at large.
