Comcast has unveiled an expansion of its Comcast RISE program, specifically targeting small businesses in Southern Colorado with a comprehensive support package. This initiative is set to award 100 businesses in Colorado Springs and El Paso County with grant packages designed to bolster their operations and digital presence. Each package includes a $5,000 monetary grant, business coaching, online entrepreneurship courses, a 30-second TV commercial, media strategy consultation, and a 12-month technology makeover featuring computer equipment, Internet, Voice, and Cybersecurity services.
J.D. Keller, senior vice president of Comcast's Mountain West Region, highlighted the company's dedication to empowering small businesses within the community. The Comcast RISE program is tailored to deliver innovative resources aimed at making a lasting impact on the local economy. Small businesses interested in applying for these grants can do so through www.ComcastRISE.com from May 1 to May 31, with recipients to be announced in August 2024.
Colorado Springs Mayor Yemi Mobolade underscored the critical role small businesses play in the local economy, noting their contributions to job creation, the tax base, and the community's unique character. The Comcast RISE program, initially launched in November 2020 to aid businesses affected by the COVID-19 pandemic, has since shifted its focus towards promoting economic growth and community investment. This effort is part of Comcast's broader $1 billion Project UP initiative, which aims to advance digital equity and economic mobility across the nation.
The expansion of the Comcast RISE program in Southern Colorado represents a significant opportunity for small businesses to access vital resources and support. By addressing both immediate needs and long-term growth strategies, Comcast is playing a pivotal role in strengthening the local business ecosystem and fostering a more inclusive digital economy.
