SEGG Media Corporation, through its original content division Sports.com Studios Ltd, has entered into a strategic co-production alliance with GOATS Entertainment. This partnership is poised to leverage the legacies of elite athletes, turning them into monetizable assets across a spectrum of mediums including docuseries, exclusive merchandise, and global fan activations. The collaboration is expected to generate high-margin revenue streams through multiple channels such as OTT platforms, e-commerce, experiential events, and licensing.
GOATS Entertainment, co-founded by filmmaker Kevin Kaufman and entertainment executive Joe DiMuro, contributes an extensive archive featuring over 90,000 iconic sports photographs by Walter Iooss Jr. and exclusive filmed interviews with more than 25 legendary athletes, including Kobe Bryant, Tiger Woods, Joe Montana, and Chris Evert. This treasure trove of content will form the basis for initial projects like Footballers Live, offering a behind-the-scenes glimpse into the lives of professional footballers, and SAS Unscripted with Ant Middleton, a military competition series filmed in the UAE.
The partnership's revenue initiatives are broad, encompassing premium content, exclusive streaming rights, limited-edition collectibles, branded partnerships, and live events in major global markets. This innovative strategy not only aims to redefine how fans engage with sports and entertainment content but also sets a new benchmark for revenue generation within the industry.
