Fathom Nickel Inc. has announced the successful completion of its summer field exploration program at the Gochager Lake Project, marking a pivotal step in the company's quest to uncover magmatic nickel sulphide deposits. Despite facing unforeseen challenges, including a lightning-induced wildfire that necessitated an early evacuation and curtailed the exploration period by three days, the company achieved approximately 90% of its targeted soil sampling. A total of 2,926 B-horizon soil samples were collected across 3,183 planned sites, alongside 337 chip and grab rock samples from outcrops. These samples underwent on-site analysis for nickel, copper, cobalt, sulphur, and mafic-ultramafic pathfinder elements utilizing pXRF technology.
