The 52nd HKTDC Hong Kong Toys & Games Fair, alongside the 17th Hong Kong Baby Products Fair and the 24th Hong Kong International Stationery & School Supplies Fair, will convene at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre from January 12 to 15, 2026. Organized by the Hong Kong Trade Development Council (HKTDC) and, for the stationery fair, jointly with Messe Frankfurt (HK) Ltd., these concurrent events under the theme 'New Play for All' have attracted over 2,600 exhibitors from 37 countries and regions, including new participants from Bangladesh, New Zealand, and Norway.
A central innovation this year is the debut of the 'Pop & Play' pavilion at the Toys & Games Fair, designed to capitalize on the booming 'kidult' and collectible toy market. The pavilion will feature approximately 150 trendy intellectual properties (IPs), open to both trade buyers and the public, aiming to connect cutting-edge brands with global business opportunities. Notable IPs include B.Duck, Hot Toys, and threezero. The pavilion will host global and fair premieres of limited-edition collectibles, such as TUTU MOKEY figurines limited to 100 pieces globally and a Mazinger Z Playing Cards set limited to 1,500 sets worldwide. A collaboration between threezero and the Hong Kong animated film Another World will yield a collectible Gudo Vinyl Figure, available for pre-order onsite.
The pavilion also includes diverse events like seminars and autograph sessions with artists such as Molly creator Kenny Wong and illustrator Pen So. A key seminar on January 14, titled 'Explosive Growth of IP Economy: from Local Success to Global Reach,' will explore business opportunities in the collectible toy industry. Interactive elements feature photo spots with fair mascots Ah Pop and Ah Play, giant statues from Hot Toys and threezero, and an AI photo-taking experience. Visitors can participate in a gashapon game for a chance to win one of 800 limited-edition collectible card sets or join a 'Souvenir DIY' workshop.
Aligning with global demographic trends, the Toys & Games Fair introduces a 'Happy Ageing' label to help buyers identify toys designed for seniors or intergenerational use, with over 40 exhibitors adopting it initially. This initiative responds to ageing populations and aims to facilitate sourcing for this growing market segment. Additionally, the HKTDC's Q4 2025 Export Confidence Index shows the toy sector's current conditions index rising to 50.5, its highest since Q1 2024, partly driven by demand for sustainable products. The 'Green Toys' zone and 'Green Solutions' label at the fairs highlight eco-friendly offerings, with over 400 exhibitors displaying the green leaf logo, a 10% increase from 2025.
The Baby Products Fair expands its 'World of Strollers and Gear' and 'ODM Strollers and Gear' zones, hosting around 230 exhibitors with increased area and exhibitor numbers. Both the Toys & Games Fair and Baby Products Fair feature the Brand Name Gallery, showcasing over 380 global brands. The Stationery & School Supplies Fair presents the latest in office and creative supplies. International participation is robust, with pavilions from Mainland China, Taiwan, Korea, and Europe, and over 200 buyer missions from more than 40 countries. E-commerce platforms like Rakuten, Tmall Global, and Amazon have been invited to help exhibitors expand sales channels.
The Asia Toys & Games Forum, themed 'Empowering the Toy Industry for Global Success,' will feature insights from Euromonitor International on market outlooks, The Walt Disney Company on IP strategies, and SGS Hong Kong Limited on product certification. Discussions will cover toy safety, AI marketing strategies, and trends in senior-focused toys. The fairs operate under the EXHIBITION+ model, combining physical exhibitions with the Click2Match smart-matching platform for online meetings from January 5 to 22, 2026. The Scan2Match function allows buyers to bookmark exhibitors via QR codes for ongoing engagement. Fair details are available at hktoyfair.hktdc.com, hkbabyfair.hktdc.com, and hkstationeryfair.com.
