The Hong Kong Trade Development Council (HKTDC) will host the world's largest one-stop jewellery marketplace in early March 2026, featuring the 12th Hong Kong International Diamond, Gem & Pearl Show from March 2-6 at AsiaWorld-Expo and the 42nd Hong Kong International Jewellery Show from March 4-8 at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre. The twin shows will bring together approximately 4,000 exhibitors from over 40 countries and regions, with 70% coming from outside Hong Kong, including expanded participation from Brazil, United Arab Emirates, and India, and first-time participation from Uzbekistan.
Jenny Koo, Deputy Executive Director of the HKTDC, stated that the event highlights Hong Kong's status as an international trade capital and jewellery sourcing hub. Hong Kong's export volume of premium jewellery to ASEAN recorded a 51% increase, while exports to the United Kingdom, Australia, and Switzerland grew year-on-year by 36%, 28%, and 10% respectively. Over 40 themed pavilions will be featured, including the debut of the Hard Pure Gold Pavilion by the World Gold Council, showcasing innovative gold craftsmanship from 11 exhibitors from Chinese Mainland.
The Hall of Fame at the Hong Kong International Jewellery Show returns with more than 40% expansion in scale, featuring international brands like Turkish diamond jewellery brand Zen Diamond and Hong Kong exhibitors Continental Diamond Company and Unique Brilliant Ltd. Oriental aesthetics will be prominently displayed through pieces like an 18K gold handmade filigree butterfly brooch from Guangdong JIABAO Pavilion Jewellery (Hong Kong) Company Ltd, made with national intangible heritage craft, and a "Palatial Modern Chinese Style" jewellery series from Shenzhen Meifei Precious Metals Co Ltd incorporating six traditional gold techniques.
Hard pure gold technology, known for its high purity and enhanced hardness enabling lighter, more durable designs, has gained strong momentum in Chinese Mainland. A seminar organised by the World Gold Council will examine the latest developments in the global gold market and this technology. Additionally, events like the Hong Kong International Fashion Chuk Kam Jewellery Design Competition 2026 and the inaugural International Fei Cui Jewellery Design Competition 2026 will spotlight Oriental aesthetics and encourage culturally rich designs for young consumer markets in ASEAN and the Middle East.
Innovative products will be showcased, such as bangles inspired by zebra patterns for the Year of the Horse from Austy Lee Company Ltd and a brooch with movable wings and tail from new exhibitor Zheng Hong Collective at the Designer Galleria. The 27th Hong Kong Jewellery Design Competition, themed "Pure Elegance – Natural Beauty," aims to nurture creative talent. Rare treasures will be displayed, including a 1970s Buccellati pink sapphire suite from Baroque Antique & Jewellery Limited and a 19th-century Italian bi-colour enamel diamond piece from World Coins Co., Ltd.
Over 20 seminars and networking sessions will cover industry trends, digital marketing, and jewellery technologies, including a session on how artificial intelligence moves from design to commercialisation to drive industry development. Influencers will share how to leverage e-commerce platforms to enhance brand visibility and boost sales. The exhibition uses the EXHIBITION+ hybrid format, with AI-powered "Click2Match" providing online business-matching from February 23 to March 13, and "Scan2Match" allowing on-site buyers to scan exhibitors' QR codes for continued discussions. The HKTDC Marketplace App and official websites like http://hkjewelleryshow.hktdc.com/tc and http://hkdgp.hktdc.com/tc offer online verification for direct entry with eBadges, reducing queuing times.
The HKTDC has partnered with the Hong Kong Tourism Board and local enterprises to provide exclusive buyer privileges, including dining, air tickets, and hotels, and will arrange free shuttle bus services between venues.
