The 9th annual LATINAFest returns on June 7, 2026, at Jesse Brewer Park in Los Angeles, celebrating Latina culture, community, and entrepreneurship under the theme "UNSTOPPABLE." This positioning comes one week before Los Angeles hosts FIFA events, framing the festival as a significant prelude to the city's international spotlight. The theme reflects the substantial demographic and economic growth of Latinas, whose population increased by 5.6 million from 2010 to 2022, making them the fastest-growing major female ethnic group in the U.S., representing over 22.2 million women as of 2024.
Co-founder Bel Hernandez Castillo emphasized that "Latinas are not a trend—we are the future of growth," arguing that marketing to Latinas should be viewed as a business strategy rather than merely a diversity initiative. This perspective is supported by data showing Latina founders are starting businesses at faster rates than any other demographic group in the U.S., a trend highlighted by Forbes. The festival will feature over 100 exhibitors and vendors, showcasing Latina-owned businesses that contribute to national economic growth.
LATINAFest 2026 includes diverse programming designed to highlight cultural and entrepreneurial achievements. Keynote speaker Loriann Serna, founder of Wife of the Party, will share insights from over 20 years of event planning for major brands and celebrities. The opening ceremony, led by choreographer Stephanie Stevens, will incorporate youth soccer teams, aligning with community and sport themes ahead of FIFA. An author's panel will feature Reyna Grande, presenting her latest work Migrant Heart, and Julissa Arce, author of My (Underground) American Dream, alongside a panel titled "Breaking the Silence" to address community narratives.
Additional festival experiences include live selling powered by Viva Shop, morning yoga and wellness programming, art installations, musical performances, tequila and mezcal tastings in a cocktail garden, and family activities like salsa dance lessons. The event anticipates exceeding its 2025 attendance of 4,000 guests, supported by sponsors such as Angel City FC, Square, AARP, and Hispanic Coalition of Small Businesses. Lead-up events include Taste of LATINAFest on May 16, 2026, in partnership with METRO, and a LATINAFest 5K Fun Run on May 30, 2026, sponsored by Angel City.
For business and technology leaders, LATINAFest underscores the economic imperative of engaging with the Latina demographic. The festival's growth mirrors broader trends where Latina consumers and entrepreneurs drive market innovation and expansion. By fostering connections between corporations and this community, LATINAFest serves as a strategic platform for brands aiming to tap into a influential consumer base, highlighting why cultural engagement is increasingly viewed as essential for sustainable business growth in diverse economies.
