A new report from VerifyInvestor.com, powered by tZERO Group, Inc., reveals that accredited investors are actively deploying capital and showing increasing interest in digital asset securities. The Accredited Investor Outlook 2026, based on a survey of over 200 verified accredited investors conducted in April 2026, highlights a market poised for activity, with more than three-quarters (77%) of respondents planning to make an investment within the next six months. Nearly half anticipate investing within three months.
Real estate (66%) and private equity/venture capital (61%) lead investment category interest, but digital asset securities attracted 27% of respondents, surpassing several traditional alternative asset classes such as infrastructure, hedge funds, and energy-focused investments. This interest is notable given that only 11% of respondents described themselves as very familiar with tokenized securities, suggesting that education is the primary barrier to broader adoption rather than a lack of demand. The report identifies a progression through curiosity, education, and adoption stages, with many investors currently moving from curiosity to education.

The survey also reveals that investors prioritize fundamentals and trust over liquidity. While expected returns are the top evaluation criterion (70%), management quality (50.5%), downside protection and risk mitigation (49%), and sponsor track record (48.5%) rank nearly as high, indicating sophisticated due diligence. Liquidity potential is among the lowest criteria at 18%, suggesting a willingness to commit to longer-duration opportunities when fundamentals are compelling.
