In a series of claims based on her extensive experience in Russia and Central Asia, bestselling author Elizabeth Graham has warned that the United States is under threat from within, alleging that President Donald Trump is acting as a traitor controlled by Russian President Vladimir Putin. Graham, author of 'From Democracy To Democrazy: A Warning To All Americans', argues that Trump’s actions are systematically weakening the U.S. and moving the country toward dictatorship.
Graham, who spent nearly 20 years in Russia, Central Asia, and Ukraine, states that she became bi-cultural and intimately understands both the good and bad of both nations. In a recent Substack post, she wrote: 'Saturday, July 4th and the U.S. holiday to celebrate our independence will be remembered as a time when one of the greatest countries in the history of mankind has succumbed to the tyranny and despotism of one man and a small group who holds absolute and unrestricted power and who is controlled by our enemy.'
Drawing a parallel to ancient Rome, Graham quotes Cicero: 'A nation can survive its fools, and even the ambitious. But it cannot survive treason from within.' She asserts that many Americans doubt Trump is a traitor, but she insists that evidence points to his collusion with Russia. She references Mark Twain’s proverb: 'It ain't what you don't know that gets you into trouble. It is what you know for sure that just ain't so.'
Graham details Trump’s legal troubles, including business fraud, 34 felony counts related to hush money payments, and a sexual assault case that legally labels him a 'sexual predator.' She claims Trump is 'quickly transforming our government into a reflection of how the Kremlin operates.'
According to Graham, Russia launched a 'disinformation and deception' campaign when it realized it could not defeat the U.S. militarily. She alleges that Trump became a KGB asset after being wined, dined, and trapped in Moscow, a claim she says was verified by former KGB operative Oleg Kalugin in an interview with Craig Unger for 'American Kompromat.' Graham also claims her oldest daughter, Lize, who worked as a bookkeeper at a Moscow nightclub, witnessed Trump’s visits and underage prostitution there.
Graham argues that Trump responds to Putin’s wishes by removing U.S. troops from Germany, targeting Venezuela’s president, pursuing war with Iran, undermining NATO, and closing USAID. She states that USAID was a CIA intelligence-gathering operation and that its closure, following Elon Musk’s visit to Moscow, could lead to 22 million preventable deaths in Africa by 2030, according to The Lancet and Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health.
Graham also alleges that Russian organized crime launders $3 billion annually through Trump condos, citing The Guardian, and that Trump’s net worth increased by $2 billion in the last year, according to Forbes. She warns that Trump may attempt to stay in power beyond 2028, similar to Putin’s extended rule.
