The Brooklyn Tabernacle, led by Pastor Jim Cymbala and Carol Cymbala, will host the Fresh Wind, Fresh Fire Conference from October 2 to 4, 2026, in New York City. The conference aims to refresh and equip individuals serving in ministry through two specialized tracks: a teaching track for pastors, ministry leaders, and lay workers, and a music track for worship leaders, choir members, and music ministry teams.
Pastor Jim Cymbala, senior pastor of the Brooklyn Tabernacle for more than five decades, emphasized the importance of renewal for those in ministry. “I’ve had the privilege of pastoring for more than five decades, and I know firsthand the challenges and blessings of ministry,” he said. “The Fresh Wind, Fresh Fire Conference is about helping leaders and worship teams go home with a renewed heart and a fresh fire for what God has called them to do.” Cymbala is widely known for his best-selling books including Fresh Wind, Fresh Fire, Fan the Flame, and Jesus Every Day, which have inspired pastors worldwide.
Carol Cymbala, Grammy Award–winning director of the Brooklyn Tabernacle Choir, will lead the music track. “Music is a powerful tool for ministry,” she said. “My prayer is that every worship leader, singer, and musician who attends will encounter God’s presence in a life-changing way.” Attendees will participate in dynamic worship services and gain practical ministry insights. Those in the music track will have the rare opportunity to rehearse and sing with the Grammy-winning choir, offering hands-on experience in a world-class worship environment.
The conference will be held at the Brooklyn Tabernacle, located at 17 Smith Street, Brooklyn, NY. Registration is available at https://www.brooklyntabernacle.org/fresh-wind-fresh-fire-conference/. For more information, follow the Brooklyn Tabernacle on Facebook or Instagram.
This conference comes at a time when many religious organizations are seeking to revitalize their congregations post-pandemic. The emphasis on prayer and biblical teaching, combined with practical music ministry training, addresses a growing need for authentic spiritual engagement. For leaders in business and technology, the conference highlights the importance of renewal and team development—principles that apply beyond religious contexts. The event’s focus on equipping leaders with fresh vision and practical skills can serve as a model for organizational revitalization in any sector.
