At CEDIA Expo 2026, BZBGEAR is set to debut REEVE™, a new control system designed to unify home automation under a single tablet interface. The announcement, made from booth C900 in Denver, highlights the company's push to streamline residential AV integration by eliminating the need for rack-mounted controllers and reducing the complexity that often plagues custom installations.
REEVE™ is structured as a three-part ecosystem: REEVE™ Studio for visual design, REEVE™ Player as the client-facing interface, and REEVE™ Cloud for remote management and updates. The system's key differentiator is its zone-based organization, allowing integrators to group devices by how spaces are actually used—such as living areas, private suites, and outdoor spaces—rather than by device type. This approach, combined with scene presets that trigger multiple devices with a single tap, aims to make everyday operation more intuitive for end users.
One of the most significant aspects of REEVE™ is its local-first architecture. The tablet itself serves as the controller, meaning no separate rack or server PC is required. This not only reduces hardware costs but also simplifies installation. The system operates without an internet connection, with cloud synchronization used only for design, updates, and remote oversight. This ensures reliability and privacy, addressing a common pain point in smart home systems.
REEVE™ is compatible with a wide range of third-party devices, including displays from Samsung, LG, Sony, Vizio, Sharp, TCL, Hisense, and Panasonic, as well as streaming sources from Chromecast, Apple TV, Roku TV, Fire TV, and major cable providers. It also controls climate systems, professional audio, cameras, lighting, access control, motorized shades, and projection. The software is included with compatible BZBGEAR products, with no license or activation fees, though the tablet is sold separately.
Eugene Bocharov, CEO of BZBGEAR, emphasized the importance of addressing control system failures in residential installations. "Control has always been the part of a residential system where good hardware goes to die—the interface is confusing, the programming is expensive, and the client stops using half of what they paid for," he said. "REEVE™ is our answer to that."
In addition to REEVE™, BZBGEAR is showcasing a comprehensive residential lineup at the expo. The XLink-ONE AV-over-IP family is engineered to operate on standard gigabit networking, avoiding the need for costly 10-gigabit infrastructure. The BG-IPGEAR-XTREME is a multicast transceiver with USB 3.1 for KVM, while the BG-IPGEAR-XTREME-PRO supports 48Gbps HDMI 2.1, 4K120, and transmission up to 170 meters, ideal for larger estates. The XTREME-PRO received AV Technology Best of Show at IBC 2025, and the XLink-ONE family earned Best of Show at InfoComm 2026.
The AIR4KAST wireless HDMI series continues to gain recognition, with models like the BG-AIR4KAST for retrofit installations, the BG-AIR4KAST-MKX for multi-display setups, and the BG-AIR4KAST-PRO offering low latency with KVM capabilities. These products have won multiple awards across ISE and CEDIA trade shows.
BZBGEAR is also introducing affordable switching and matrix solutions, with a 4x2 matrix starting at $199 and an 8K 2x2 at $299. The BG-4K-VP44 acts as a matrix, video wall processor, and multiviewer in one, offering seamless switching and control via various methods. The company's 8K-ready product line includes switchers starting at $39 and matrices from $299, making high-bandwidth HDMI 2.1 more accessible.
Finally, BZBGEAR is highlighting KVM solutions as an under-sold category in residential installations. With dual-computer home offices becoming standard, their 2x1 4K KVM at $149 and 8K models up to $999 provide affordable options for integrators. Extension products, such as a USB-C extender at $1,199, support clean desk setups with power and data over a single Cat cable.
