Dr. Joscelyn Ramos Campbell Named 2026 Woman of Impact at Annual Mood-Setter Social

Dr. Joscelyn Ramos Campbell, an award-winning national spokesperson, multimedia marketing strategist, and bilingual disability advocate, was honored with the 2026 Woman of Impact (Kingdom Woman) Award during the annual Mood-Setter Social. The event, hosted by Pastor Jodie McCoy, founder of Mood-Setter Conference and Events and First Lady of Hope International Church in Groveland, Florida, recognized women who lead with compassion, positivity, purpose, and meaningful community impact.

The gathering brought together women from Lake County and Central Florida for brunch, fellowship, encouragement, fashion, recognition, and spiritual renewal. The 2026 event featured an inspirational guest speaker, Pastor Alexis Stephens Ministries, Inc., and a fashion show coordinated by fashion stylist Barbara Davis-Hudson. Created as a space for women to step away from busy schedules, caregiving responsibilities, and professional demands, the Mood-Setter Social offered refreshment and celebration. The event was also supported by fellow honoree Doris Shazier of Shazier Coaching & Consulting, LLC, and Dr. Calandria Smith of Landi-Lou Productions.

“I am honored and humbled to have been named one of the 2026 Women of Impact,” said Dr. Joscelyn Ramos Campbell. “To humbly be called a ‘Kingdom Woman’ feels like an invisible embrace and nudge to continue a life dedicated to purpose and service. Especially when your life is dedicated to the service of others, while raising a child with special needs, and living with an illness yourself. Pain and grief have a way of making everything feel isolated and alone. In those moments, love, support, and the true Godly example of ‘you are welcome here’ are vital. Struggles can be turned into victories. Tests into testimonies.”

Dr. Ramos Campbell expressed deep gratitude to her spiritual mentors and parents, Sr. Pastors Dr. Tony and Jodie McCoy. She noted that Hope International’s mission includes changing the surrounding community. Pastor Tony, a former NFL player and University of Florida Gator, chose to follow his calling and care for others rather than rest on his accomplishments. “The impact of that choice has positively shifted the lives of countless people around the world. This loving influence is now part of a generational legacy. It began over 20 years ago with the opening of a multicultural church and campus called Hope International,” she said.

“This recognition is not just about an award,” Dr. Ramos Campbell said. “It is about legacy, faith, community, and the continued call to serve. My parents raised me to understand that ministry does not end inside the church walls. It continues in neighborhoods, homes, schools, and families — especially with those who need care, advocacy, and belonging.”

Dr. Ramos Campbell was supported at the event by fellow VIP mothers, bilingual advocates, and community leaders: Luzel Garcia, Founder of The Dream Academy, a K-12 school serving students with various abilities; Tania Santos, Entrepreneur and Leader with WeSpeak: Parent Support Group of Lake County; and Barrie Martinez, Advocate and Owner of Amber Treasures at Universal Studios Orlando.

Through Hope Torchlighters and services that will be provided in the new Hope Wellness Center, Dr. Ramos Campbell continues to expand advocacy, inclusion, wellness, and family-centered support for special needs and neurodiverse families. The organization’s growing programs include Buddy Break Respite Care, Beacon of Hope Support Group, VIP Sunday, therapy-based family events, job training, and life skills development. Special Olympics partnerships, bilingual and Spanish parent education events, VIP Mom and VIP Dad gatherings, and community advocacy initiatives are also part of the offerings. “This is the work. This is the mission. This is the legacy. This is the impact,” she said.

The Mood-Setter Social was founded by Pastor Jodie McCoy as a community-centered celebration recognizing women of faith, service, leadership, compassion, and positive impact. The 2026 event was held at Hope International Church in Groveland, Florida, which has grown from a small service of five members in a home in 2004 to its own worship campus on State Road 33.
