The Hong Kong Trade Development Council (HKTDC) is set to host five major exhibitions from August 13 to 17 at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre, bringing together more than 1,850 exhibitors from over 30 countries and regions. Under the theme 'Live Well.Stay Well,' the events will showcase international foods, tea culture, health and beauty products, and smart home innovations, offering a one-stop platform for sourcing, business networking, and retail experiences.
For the first time, the two trade fairs—Food Expo PRO and the Hong Kong International Tea Fair—will feature exhibitors from all ASEAN member states, including debut participations from Brunei and Timor-Leste. New exhibitors from Colombia and Greece will also join, alongside a delegation from the Agricultural Trade Promotion Center of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs of China, which will showcase premium agricultural products from multiple provinces and municipalities.
The fairs will feature 43 group pavilions, including a Korea Pavilion that has expanded by 40% compared to last year, hosting more than 130 exhibitors as the largest overseas pavilion. Food Expo PRO introduces a new 'Meat Zone' to meet rising demand for premium meats, with highlights like Korean frozen marinated barbecue products and halal-certified beef tendon balls from a long-established Hong Kong brand. The 'Coffee Zone' returns with exhibitors from Yunnan, Colombia, Macao, Myanmar, Thailand, and the United States, while the 'Food Science and Technology Zone' will focus on alternative foods and food-service technologies, including an intelligent food-service robot from a Hong Kong exhibitor.
The Hong Kong International Tea Fair will showcase rare teas and innovative tea beverages, including a naturally mutated purple bud raw pu'er tea from Yunnan, matcha from Guizhou and Zhejiang in the new Chinese Mainland Matcha Pavilion, and the inaugural Yixing Zisha Teaware Pavilion. The new 'Tea Lifestyle' zone will feature sparkling tea, tea-based cocktails, and Pu-er coffee blend tea, alongside tea meditation experiences. The Hong Kong International Tea Culture Forum will explore opportunities for internationalising Chinese tea brands.
This year's fairs adopt five themed days: 'Happy Eat Happy Life,' 'The World in Blink,' 'Coffee or Tea?,' 'Stay Fresh, Stay Ahead,' and 'Let's Chill,' encouraging visitors to explore wellness trends. The Food Expo will highlight global gourmet delights, including desserts and gelato, with a new Dessert and Gelato Theme featuring low-fat gelato made with patented mushroom extract and a Cookie and Cream Carnival. The Gourmet Zone will celebrate its 15th edition with 15 celebrity chefs and a commemorative recipe book.
The Beauty & Wellness Expo will debut a 'Stay Relax' zone with red-light therapy capsules and wellness balms, alongside the popular 'Scentsation' fragrance zone. The Home Delights Expo focuses on quality sleep and smart living, with the Sleep Health Association launching 'Go Sleep Exp' and HKT offering exclusive discounts on smart home appliances, including its F5G-A 2500M Super Broadband service.
The International Conference of the Modernization of Chinese Medicine and Health Products (ICMCM) will be expanded to three days, focusing on 'Clinical Translation, Regulatory Policies and Global Innovative Pathways of Traditional Medicine.' The conference will feature over 30 speakers from around the world and is supported by the Chinese Medicine Development Fund.
To celebrate HKTDC's 60th anniversary, special promotions will include free admission before noon each day for visitors with designated leaflets, '6'-themed offers from exhibitors, and daily lucky draws with prizes worth more than HK$1 million. E-tickets will be available through various platforms, and morning and evening admission tickets will return.
These events underscore Hong Kong's role as an international food trading hub and gateway to the Chinese Mainland and global markets, while reflecting growing consumer interest in wellness and quality living.
