The Hong Kong Trade Development Council (HKTDC) today opened its seven flagship lifestyle and licensing events, drawing over 5,600 exhibitors from more than 30 countries and regions. The events include the Hong Kong Gifts & Premium Fair, Home InStyle, Fashion InStyle, Hong Kong International Printing & Packaging Fair, DeLuxe PrintPack Hong Kong, Hong Kong International Licensing Show, and Asian Licensing Conference, running from April 28 to 30 at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre and AsiaWorld-Expo.
HKTDC Executive Director Sophia Chong emphasized Hong Kong's role as a gateway for global businesses connecting with the Chinese Mainland. “Hong Kong is the ideal base for companies to grow their businesses, pursue creativity and innovation, and bring them to commercial fruition,” she said, citing the city's solid strengths, innovation ecosystem, and robust intellectual property infrastructure.
The Gifts & Premium Fair and Home InStyle feature a new “Reimagine” themed floor at HKCEC Hall 5, offering buyers a one-stop overview of lifestyle homeware and gifting trends. Notable product launches include the Camel Brand MINI20 thermos blind box by Wei Yit Vacuum Flask Manufactory, co-branded with Hong Kong illustrators, and PREN Ltd's infection-prevention mobile toilet, a waterless unit with health monitoring capabilities.
The Hall of Fine Designs at the Gifts & Premium Fair gathers over 100 exhibitors, including Star Industrial Co., Ltd's Red A “Made in Hong Kong” mini-series blind boxes and Moral Team Holdings Ltd's Napier Coded backpack for pickleball enthusiasts made from recycled materials.
Home InStyle presents the Gerontech and Innovative Material Pavilion, funded by the Innovation and Technology Commission, showcasing over 20 local enterprises. Highlights include Scan Infinity Ltd's TechFitX Smart Sports Training System for seniors and the United Nations University Hub's IntuCREW smart power-assist solution for caregivers. Innovative materials include Lotux International's biodegradable tableware from lotus stems and Mush Composites' bio-based tiles from agricultural by-products and mycelium.
Fashion InStyle’s NEXT zone, organized with the Cultural and Creative Industries Development Agency, features over 60 exhibitors from across the globe. Belgium's Bloom Biotech showcases microalgae leather, the world's first carbon-neutral leather alternative. Finland's Spinnova PLC presents SPINNOVA® textile fibre from wood or waste cellulose. Vietnam's Thai Son S.P Co., Ltd displays ramie fabric with natural antibacterial properties. Project ambassador Han Chong, founder of self-portrait, leads six local designer brands using forward-looking materials from suppliers worldwide.
The Hong Kong International Printing & Packaging Fair and DeLuxe PrintPack Hong Kong highlight eco-friendly solutions such as Elements Printing and Packaging Limited's FSC transparent non-plastic packaging and Guangzhou Xingqiyuan's wet-press paper-pulp packaging from agricultural waste. DeLuxe PrintPack features Ijen Enterprises' 3D rotating music boxes and Marshallom's dual-purpose paper lantern canisters.
The Hong Kong International Licensing Show introduces a new IP and e-Commerce Support Services zone, uniting e-commerce platforms, KOLs, and marketing firms to help brands capitalize on e-commerce growth.
