LaFleur Minerals Advances Toward Gold Production in Abitibi Belt

LaFleur Minerals Inc. (CSE: LFLR) (OTCQB: LFLRF), a district-scale gold explorer and near-term producer, is advancing toward production from its sites in the Abitibi greenstone belt of eastern Canada, one of the most prolific Archean belts in the world. The company recently completed a Preliminary Economic Assessment (PEA) for its Swanson Gold Deposit in Québec, highlighting a capital-efficient project with strong economics by leveraging its 100%-owned and refurbished Beacon Gold Mill.

According to the company, the PEA demonstrates the potential for robust returns. CEO Paul Ténière stated, "As we prepare for pre-operational tests and system checks at the Beacon Gold Mill in the coming months, we are transitioning from pure exploration and development to gold production execution." This move positions LaFleur to become a near-term gold producer, a significant milestone for the company.

The Swanson Gold Project covers approximately 18,304 hectares (183 km²) and includes several gold and critical metals prospects previously held by Monarch Mining, Abcourt Mines, and Globex Mining. The project is easily accessible by road, with direct access to several nearby gold mills, enhancing its development potential. LaFleur has consolidated a large land package along a major structural break that hosts the Swanson, Bartec, and Jolin gold deposits.

The Beacon Gold Mill, fully permitted and refurbished, has a capacity of over 750 tonnes per day. It is being considered for processing mineralized material from Swanson and for custom milling operations for other nearby gold projects. This infrastructure is key to reducing capital costs and accelerating production timelines.

For industry observers, LaFleur's progress is notable because the Abitibi belt has a history of significant gold production. The company's ability to leverage existing infrastructure could serve as a model for other junior miners. Investors and stakeholders should monitor upcoming operational tests and system checks at the mill, which will be critical for confirming production readiness. The successful restart of the Beacon Mill could provide a low-cost processing option for LaFleur and potentially for other regional projects, benefiting the local mining ecosystem.
