As flooding once again devastates the Texas Hill Country, LiftFund has announced the launch of the 2026 Texas Hill Country Flood Relief Program to provide grants of up to $10,000 for eligible small businesses and nonprofit organizations. The program aims to relieve hardships caused by new flood damage, which has compounded the challenges for many businesses still recovering from last year's floods.
According to the organization, eligible applicants must have been operating on or before July 1, 2025, and be located in one of 16 designated counties: Bandera, Blanco, Burnet, Comal, Edwards, Gillespie, Hays, Kendall, Kerr, Kimble, Llano, Mason, Medina, Menard, Real, or Uvalde. Businesses must demonstrate they experienced a negative economic impact as a result of the July 2026 floods.
The grants can be used for rebuilding and repair expenses, replacement of lost or damaged equipment, and general business operating expenses. LiftFund President and CEO Amy Hereford emphasized the urgency of the response: “Our hearts are with the Texas small businesses that are facing yet another tragic disaster. When disasters strike, they need trusted partners who can respond in a matter of days to sustain the business and its employees.”
Over the past year, LiftFund has deployed 525 grants and loans totaling more than $17 million in funding for small businesses across the Hill Country. The organization has more than three decades of experience helping entrepreneurs recover from disasters, including hurricanes, wildfires, floods, and the COVID-19 pandemic. It has developed purpose-built disaster recovery systems that prioritize speed, accountability, and equitable access to capital.
“Every small business that reopens strengthens its community,” Hereford said. “When entrepreneurs can recover, employees return to work, families regain stability, and local economies begin moving forward again.”
LiftFund is also working with philanthropic organizations, corporate partners, and community leaders to expand available recovery resources. Additional funding will help increase access to affordable financing, grants, and business support services as recovery efforts continue.

The launch of this program highlights the ongoing vulnerability of small businesses in disaster-prone regions and the critical role of targeted financial assistance in helping them recover. For business leaders, the availability of such grants can mean the difference between closure and survival, underscoring the importance of having trusted partners like LiftFund in place before the next disaster strikes.
