MIAMI — In a ceremony at the Miami-Dade Government Center, Commissioner Karen Diazgranados presented a Certificate of Recognition to Rafael Donadío for his leadership in cybersecurity awareness and fortification of public institutions. The award, issued by the Miami-Dade County Hispanic Affairs Advisory Board, validates Donadío’s impact on protecting critical infrastructure, including government entities and Florida school districts.
The recognition follows Donadío’s participation in eMerge Americas 2026, held at the Miami Beach Convention Center. At the event, Donadío was identified as a key figure in modernizing infrastructure across Orange and Osceola Counties. His focus on Zero Trust Architecture resonated with industry leaders, who endorsed his methodology for unifying government data silos through secure abstraction layers. This approach distinguishes Donadío as a high-impact technological architect.
The award highlights Donadío’s contributions to public schools, where he has designed “digital shields” to protect student data amid rising cyberattacks. He has provided proprietary APIs at no cost to educational systems and emergency services, including the St. Cloud Police Department. This work enables Florida’s public institutions to operate with capabilities comparable to major technology firms while maintaining full data control, avoiding vendor lock-in. The concept of technological sovereignty—an autonomous, secure state—is central to Donadío’s mission.
Industry experts at the event described Donadío’s work as a cornerstone for building resilient Smart Cities in Florida. His official recognition underscores that technical excellence, applied to national service, can protect lives and societal stability.
