Nanox Imaging Ltd. (NASDAQ: NNOX) announced a distribution agreement with Costa Rica-based medical equipment distributor SOLME RC, S.A. to market and support the Nanox.ARC, a multi-source digital tomosynthesis system designed to expand access to 3D medical imaging. The agreement positions Nanox to enter its third Latin American market this year, following Argentina and Peru, as the company seeks to drive the global transition to preventive healthcare.
Under the agreement, SOLME will oversee marketing, distribution, installation, training, and ongoing technical support for the Nanox.ARC in Costa Rica. SOLME is a registered supplier to the Caja Costarricense de Seguro Social (CCSS), the country’s principal purchaser and provider of hospital services. Commercialization will follow applicable regulatory registration, including an initial six-month proof-of-concept device registration period before full registration.
The Nanox.ARC is a cost-effective, 3D multi-source digital tomosynthesis imaging system designed for ease of use and scalability. It is part of a broader integrated ecosystem that includes Nanox.AI, a suite of AI-based algorithms that augment the interpretation of routine CT imaging to identify early signs often associated with chronic disease; Nanox.CLOUD, a cloud-based platform for secure data management, storage, and advanced imaging analytics; Nanox.MARKETPLACE and USARAD Holdings, which provide access to remote radiology and cardiology experts and comprehensive teleradiology services; and Nanox Health IT, which combines deep healthcare IT expertise with leading technology partners to deliver RIS, PACS, AI, dictation, and secure infrastructure solutions that streamline workflows and support safer, more efficient care delivery.
By integrating imaging technology, AI, cloud infrastructure, clinical expertise, a marketplace, and health information technology, Nanox aims to lower barriers to adoption, improve utilization, and advance preventive care worldwide. The company’s vision is to expand the reach of medical imaging both within and beyond traditional hospital settings by providing a seamless solution from scan to interpretation and beyond. Leveraging proprietary digital X-ray technology, AI-driven analytics, and a clinically driven approach, Nanox seeks to enhance the efficiency of routine imaging workflows, support early detection of disease, and improve patient outcomes.
For business and technology leaders, this expansion underscores the growing role of AI and cloud-based solutions in transforming healthcare delivery, particularly in emerging markets where access to advanced imaging may be limited. The agreement with SOLME, a registered supplier to the CCSS, could accelerate the adoption of 3D tomosynthesis in Costa Rica’s public health system, potentially improving early disease detection and clinical efficiency. It also highlights Nanox’s strategy to penetrate Latin American markets through local partnerships, which may serve as a model for further expansion. As healthcare systems worldwide increasingly prioritize preventive care and cost-effective technologies, Nanox’s integrated approach could influence how medical imaging is deployed and reimbursed.
