The independent podcast "No Agenda" has released a special tribute episode honoring the late John C. Dvorak, who passed away days earlier. Episode 1889, titled "Producer's Tribute to JCD," aired on July 26, 2026, and was hosted by Adam Curry. Unlike the previous episode, which featured remembrances from family and friends, this nearly three-hour broadcast was assembled from clips submitted by the show's global producer community via the PodHerd (formerly ClipGenie) platform.
Curry described the emotional process of compiling the tribute, stating he spent about eight hours putting the show together. "These are your choices... I'd say 80% of what you guys sent in or selected on PodHerd Clip Genie, I completely forgotten about. Somewhere around 3 o'clock, I texted Tina. I said, I got to break open a bottle. I was laughing, crying, and I think you'll do the same," Curry said.
The episode features Dvorak's most memorable segments spanning nearly two decades. Highlights include the recurring "John C. Dvorak Tip of the Day," covering topics such as wine (2015 Cru Beaujolais, Fleur de Sel, Retsina), food (Youssef's hummus, muscadine wine), and tech. Other threads include deconstructions of Victoria Nuland's "F the EU" Ukraine call, Ticketmaster vaccine passports, and Washington Post fact-checking. Dvorak also expounded on theories about vasectomies, fractals, Marvin Minsky, and Seymour Rubinstein's shrink-wrap license origins.
Signature bits such as "Game, Set, Match, the Lizard People Win," fart-gate, and the "stay safe" retort are featured. Producers contributed clips of Dvorak calling out ProPublica's Lydia DePillis, dissecting the 2,000 ex-DOJ letter, mocking the Washington Post's 16,241-item lie database, and predicting Ticketmaster would never implement vaccine passports. Special credit goes to Sir Deenonymous and Void Zero for infrastructure support, Dame Jennifer for animated segments, and Sir Chris in Australia for a closing musical tribute performed by the Grumpy Old Dames.
Curry opened the episode by noting the outpouring of support since Dvorak's passing, with Dvorak's name trending on X and emails overwhelming his inbox. The tribute includes Dvorak riffing on Algerian Saharan crude oil, gasifier trucks, Beaujolais vintages, Michael Clayton, Ban Ki-moon, Yatsenyuk, and Amy Klobuchar's dropped consonants.
Following the tribute, Curry announced a two-week hiatus before the show returns with guest hosts Darren O'Neill and Larry Bleitner filling in. The No Agenda Show, known for its listener-supported value-for-value model and skeptical analysis of media and politics, remains one of podcasting's most influential independent productions.
