VANCOUVER, BC — Crit Team, an independent studio under ChillyRoom Game, has announced the release of a public multiplayer demo for No Such Place, its upcoming top-down PvE extraction shooter. The demo will be available on Steam on June 15, 2026, just ahead of Steam Next Fest, offering players an early look at the game's progression systems and cooperative gameplay.
The demo supports solo play and 1–4 player online co-op, with part of the progression data carrying over into the full release scheduled for Q4 2026. It is available in English, Japanese, and Chinese. A new multiplayer trailer showcasing the game's co-op features can be viewed on YouTube.
In No Such Place, players assume the role of agents from the Unknown Research Consortium (U.R.C.), a mysterious organization dedicated to investigating supernatural anomalies erased from known history. Players venture into fragmented dimensions to survive hostile environments, gather supplies and intelligence, and locate an extraction point before time runs out. The game emphasizes survival, with threats ranging from indescribable horrors to rival agents, mercenaries, and deranged survivors.
A key feature is the flexible weapon customization system, where corrupted technology allows players to attach incompatible parts—such as a motorcycle suppressor to an assault rifle or a Victorian brass scope to modern military hardware—creating unique combinations. The game also offers multiple progression paths, with physical attributes and weapon proficiencies improving through mission experience. Resources recovered during expeditions can be used to build and upgrade the player's Safehouse, providing a foundation for future missions.
The demo includes early progression content, allowing players to explore abandoned military outposts, research facilities, forests, and mountains while scavenging for weapons, medicine, and equipment. Co-op play enables teams of up to four to coordinate roles, cover more ground, and rescue each other before extraction. The developers note that part of the demo progression data will carry over, giving players a head start in the full version.
No Such Place is developed by Crit Team, part of ChillyRoom Game, known for their work on indie titles. The game is set to release on Steam in Q4 2026. More information can be found on the Steam page and the official website.
