The ProMedia Group (PMG), a Florida-based audiovisual and technology integration provider, has appointed Troy Fernandez as Project Manager to support the company's continued growth and expansion into new markets, including sports and stadium technology. Fernandez brings more than two decades of global program and project leadership experience, having managed large-scale design and construction initiatives across multiple continents.
Fernandez joins PMG from Watchtower in Tuxedo Park, New York, where he most recently served as Program Manager overseeing a global portfolio of active projects across 30 international offices. As Global Design Director, he led the development of design standards across 84 international branches while mentoring high-performing teams. Earlier in his career, he managed multi-site projects throughout the Americas, maintaining control over scope, schedule, and budget for complex projects from concept through commissioning. His background also includes 15 years with AECOM in New York, contributing to major infrastructure and transportation projects, including work with the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey, the Transportation Security Administration, and the World Trade Center PATH Terminal.
Fernandez was drawn to PMG by the opportunity to work on new types of facilities and technologies, particularly in the sports and stadium space. “I’ve spent my career managing residential and commercial work, but this is a chance to be part of something different — to get more hands-on and be on the other side of the process, especially in AV and broadcast environments,” he said. His approach to project delivery emphasizes collaboration, planning, and transparency. “Surround yourself with qualified people, work as a team, and keep everyone aligned toward the end goal. That’s what drives consistent, high-quality results,” he added.
Ken Avis, CEO of The ProMedia Group, highlighted the significance of the hire: “Adding someone with this level of global experience and leadership strengthens our ability to deliver exceptional results for our clients. His expertise in managing complex, multi-site projects aligns perfectly with our commitment to excellence and continued growth.”
In his new role, Fernandez will oversee AV integration projects from design through installation, supporting PMG’s continued expansion and commitment to delivering reliable, high-performance solutions. The addition of Troy Fernandez reflects PMG’s ongoing investment in top-tier talent as the company grows its services and geographic reach.
