REPLOID Group AG Spins Off Fertilizer Business into New Company REPLOID REGREEN GmbH

REPLOID Group AG has announced the consolidation of its fertilizer business into a dedicated company, REPLOID REGREEN GmbH (REGREEN), based in Wels, Austria. The newly formed entity will produce and market organic fertilizers made from insect frass, targeting the Central European market. Andreas Steinbüchler, a veteran with over 25 years in the fertilizer industry, has been appointed as Managing Director.

The spin-off is a strategic move to structure REPLOID's planned entry into the fertilizer market. REGREEN's products will be derived from insect frass, a nutrient-rich by-product generated when Black Soldier Fly larvae process organic residues from the food industry. The frass is sourced from REPLOID's own ReFarmUnits, which are modular insect-rearing plants.

Market entry is scheduled for fall 2026, starting with fertilizer sticks for potted plants. A lawn fertilizer and an agricultural fertilizer for commercial farming are expected to follow later the same year. This timeline positions REGREEN to address Europe's fertilizer market, which is under structural pressure from heavy reliance on imported mineral fertilizers, tightening regulations, and increasingly degraded soils.

Organic fertilizers complement mineral ones by improving nutrient efficiency, building soil organic matter, and enhancing resilience to drought stress. REGREEN aims to meet rising demand for locally produced, circular solutions in agriculture and horticulture. According to the company, Europe imports fertilizer while its soils are being depleted, a situation that is not viable long-term. REGREEN's regionally produced organic fertilizer is designed to make soils more fertile over time.

Philip Pauer, CEO and Founder of REPLOID Group AG, emphasized that the fertilizer segment is a strategic growth pillar with significant scaling potential. Andreas Steinbüchler brings extensive experience to the role, including over 15 years in leadership positions across sales, supply chain, and finance. From 2018 to 2023, he served as Chief Commercial Officer of LAT Nitrogen GmbH, Europe's second-largest fertilizer producer, and was President of the Fertilizers Europe association from 2021 to 2023.

The creation of REGREEN allows REPLOID to focus on its core business of building and servicing modular insect-rearing plants while giving the fertilizer business its own effective structure. REPLOID Group AG, founded in 2020 and headquartered in Wels, has been listed on the Vienna Stock Exchange’s direct market plus segment since July 2025. The group employs over 190 people.
