Search Atlas, the AI-powered SEO and marketing platform serving more than 30,000 customers and 5,000 agencies worldwide, has announced a native Slack integration for its AI teammate, Search Atlas Coworker. This move allows marketers and agencies to manage SEO and OTTO tasks directly within Slack, streamlining workflows and reducing the need to switch between platforms.
Coworker, designed to act like a human teammate, lets users delegate SEO execution by describing tasks in plain language. Previously, all interactions occurred within the Search Atlas dashboard. With the new integration, teams can connect Coworker to Slack and manage tasks from their existing conversations, with Search Atlas providing setup guidance to ensure proper configuration.
The integration supports use in both shared channels and direct messages, giving teams flexibility based on their operational preferences. Agencies managing multiple client sites can bring Coworker into client-specific channels, ensuring visibility for all account members. In-house teams can opt for private direct messages for day-to-day tasks. Workspace admins gain dedicated permission controls to manage access and capabilities, and Search Atlas has published documentation on data handling and permissions for organizations to review before rollout.
One notable feature is the support for Routines, Coworker's automated recurring reports. Teams can now receive standing SEO and OTTO updates directly in Slack, eliminating the need to manually check the dashboard. Additionally, Search Atlas has resolved a previously reported issue that prevented users from deactivating or deleting Coworker's scheduled jobs, granting teams full control over active processes.
Coworker is also available via a WordPress plugin for sites connected that way, with guidance on how the plugin interacts with OTTO site quotas across multiple domains. For teams new to the tool, Search Atlas has published a library of example prompts and use cases, covering tasks from technical SEO audits to drafting on-page recommendations. Supporting resources include guidance on when to use Coworker versus the standard dashboard, a troubleshooting guide for Slack connection issues, and a FAQ addressing connected apps, approval steps, and capabilities for both in-house teams and agencies.
“Most SEO work dies in a queue somewhere between the strategy and the person who has time to execute it,” said Arman Advani, Partner at Search Atlas. “Putting Coworker in Slack closes that gap. The work gets assigned in the same place the team already talks about it, and it gets done without anyone having to open another tab.”
The Slack integration is available now to Search Atlas customers and can be connected from the Coworker settings within the platform. This launch reflects a broader trend of integrating AI tools into existing communication channels to enhance productivity and reduce friction in task management.
