SKYX Platforms Corp. (NASDAQ: SKYX), a smart home and AI platform technology company, announced it will deploy its advanced smart technologies during a master renovation of The Grand Hotel du Parc, a historic hotel in La Bourboule, France. This marks the company’s first European hotel project and is part of a collaboration with Group OTT, a France-based real estate developer that has completed over 250 buildings across Europe.
The hotel, formerly known as The Grand Medicis, is a designated historic property located in the heart of La Bourboule, a leading thermal spa destination focused on health, wellness, and longevity tourism. Currently comprising 100 rooms and suites, the renovation plan includes the addition of 30 new rooms. SKYX will supply thousands of units of its smart plug-and-play technologies, including ceiling lighting, ceiling fans, recessed lights, down lights, EXIT signs, emergency lights, indoor and outdoor lights, and wall lights.
According to SKYX, its technologies can reduce renovation time and cost by up to 90% compared to traditional methods. The company’s system enables quick installation without hardwiring, allowing for easy interchangeability and upgrades. This capability is particularly valuable for hotel renovations, where downtime directly impacts revenue. The deployment is expected to cover all hotel areas, including rooms, suites, bars, restaurants, lobby, ballroom, spa, gym, meeting rooms, and corridors.
Jean-François Ott, Founder of Group OTT, expressed enthusiasm about integrating SKYX’s technologies into the property. “By integrating SKYX’s technologies into these properties, we will cut significant time and cost while advancing the lifestyle and safety standards of our hotels and buildings,” Ott said in the announcement. Group OTT has developed projects valued at over $4 billion and anticipates collaborating with SKYX on additional hotels in the future.
Rani Kohen, Founder and Executive Chairman of SKYX Platforms, highlighted the strategic importance of this deployment. “We are excited to deploy our technologies in our first European hotel collaboration… We look forward to continuing to grow our hotel segment in both the U.S. and Europe, based on our advanced technologies and including the significant time and cost saving during hotel renovations and new builds,” Kohen stated.
The expansion into Europe provides SKYX with additional opportunities for recurring revenues through interchangeability, upgrades, AI services, monitoring, and subscriptions. The company holds over 100 U.S. and global pending and issued patents and owns 60 lighting and home décor websites. SKYX is in ongoing discussions with other hotel groups and owners regarding the adoption of its technologies.
