Tú Cuentas Cine Youth Fest Wins Four Communicator Awards, Highlighting Latino Youth Media Impact

The Hispanic Information and Telecommunications Network (HITN) announced that its Tú Cuentas Cine Youth Fest (TCCYF) received four awards at the 32nd Annual Communicator Awards, a recognition program run by the Academy of Interactive & Visual Arts. The awards, which honor achievement in marketing, communications, and creative media, underscore the growing cultural reach of HITN's programming aimed at elevating Latino voices in the entertainment industry.

Among the winning productions was the interview series 2025 Tú Cuentas Cafecito con Ingrid 'Superstar' Salcedo, which received an Award of Excellence in the General-Interview or Talk Show category and an Award of Distinction in the General-Motivational category. Another production, 2025 Tú Cuentas Cafecito con Roselyn Sanchez, earned an Award of Distinction in the General-Interview or Talk Show category. Additionally, The Power of Voice: The Art of Dubbing for Film and TV received an Award of Excellence in the General-Motivational category.

The Communicator Awards, now in their 32nd year, drew more than 3,000 entries from agencies, production companies, universities, and global brands. Winners were selected by a jury of over 1,100 industry professionals from organizations including Netflix, National Geographic Society, FedEx, and JPMorgan Chase & Co. In a congratulatory letter to Cynthia Rivera, TCCYF co-director, Josh Campbell, general manager of the Academy of Interactive & Visual Arts, praised the work produced by the HITN initiative, stating, "Your work cut through the noise, connected with audiences and delivered real results."

The recognition adds momentum to Tú Cuentas Cine Youth Fest, which provides emerging Latino filmmakers and storytellers with visibility through screenings, workshops, and original digital content. As representation in mainstream entertainment remains a central industry issue, HITN's Tú Cuentas initiative focuses on creating a platform for young Hispanic creatives to develop and share their stories with broader audiences, aligning with HITN's mission to educate and entertain.

HITN-TV, the leading Spanish-language media company offering educational and cultural programming, reaches more than 35 million homes in the United States and Puerto Rico through providers including DIRECTV, AT&T U-verse, DISH Network, Verizon FiOS TV, Comcast Xfinity, and Charter Spectrum. The HITNGO app is available on Apple, Android, Apple TV, and Roku.

For business and technology leaders, the awards signal the increasing importance of diverse content and targeted platforms in capturing audience engagement. The recognition of HITN's TCCYF productions by a jury of industry giants highlights the value of investing in underrepresented voices and the potential for such initiatives to drive cultural impact and brand loyalty.
