Daegu Metropolitan City has launched FIX 2024, South Korea's premier technology expo, from October 23 to October 26 at Daegu EXCO. With 463 companies and 2,071 booths, the event under the slogan 'Better Tech, Better Future' serves as a comprehensive platform for innovation, focusing on future mobility, robotics, and ABB (AI, Big Data, Blockchain). Global industry leaders such as Tesla, Hyundai Mobis, ABB Korea, SK, and KT are among the exhibitors, showcasing the latest technological advancements.
The Mobility Hall features key participants like Tesla, Hyundai Motor, Kia, and GM, displaying concept cars, electric and hydrogen vehicles, and essential components. Notable exhibits include Tesla's Cybertruck and Hyundai's SPACE Mobility concept car. The West Wing is dedicated to robotics and ABB industries, with companies like HD Hyundai Robotics and ABB Korea presenting their innovations, including the Korean debut of RoMeLa's bipedal robot, ARTEMIS.
FIX 2024 also introduces the Start-up Arena, hosting the Plug and Play Korea Expo, which includes startup IR pitches and lectures by global speakers. The expo's global conferences feature 81 experts from 13 countries, discussing trends in mobility, ABB, robotics, and emerging industries. Additionally, the event facilitates business growth through export consultation meetings and a job fair, with participation from major companies and public institutions.
The Daegu Policy Institute estimates that FIX 2024 will generate KRW 933.2 billion in production, KRW 262.6 billion in added value, and create 3,263 new jobs, highlighting the event's economic significance. Daegu Mayor Joon-pyo Hong emphasized FIX 2024's role in fostering collaboration between large corporations and startups, positioning Daegu as a future-leading city.
