The Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Knowledge Foundation (MBRF) and the United Nations Development Program (UNDP) have announced the 9th edition of the Knowledge Summit, set to take place on November 18-19, 2024, at the Dubai World Trade Center. With the theme 'Future Skills and AI Economy,' the summit is poised to tackle the evolving challenges and opportunities in fostering a sustainable knowledge-based economy.
His Excellency Jamal bin Huwaireb, CEO of the MBRF, highlighted the summit's significance in positioning Dubai as a beacon of global innovation. The event will introduce the 'Global Knowledge Index 2024,' a pivotal tool aimed at steering future sustainable development strategies across various knowledge domains such as education, R&D, and technology.
In a landmark move, the summit will also host the 3rd UNESCO World OER Congress, its first in the Arab World, attracting around 500 ministers and decision-makers from key sectors. The 'Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Knowledge Award' will be presented to honor exceptional contributions to knowledge dissemination, alongside panel discussions by Coursera on future skills and AI.
Featuring an expansive agenda with over 747 interactive sessions and workshops, the summit will gather 1765 speakers and expects over 81,000 participants. Discussions will center on sustainable economic growth, future workforce skills, and emerging technologies like AI and machine learning, underscoring the event's role in shaping global discourse on innovation and knowledge.
