Denver International Airport (DEN), recognized as the world's sixth busiest airport, has embarked on a transformative journey in its parking operations through a partnership with Flash, a leading end-to-end parking technology platform. This collaboration has led to a comprehensive overhaul of both public and employee parking facilities, setting a new benchmark in airport parking management.
The City and County of Denver awarded the contract to Flash in August 2024, with the company deploying its advanced platform across nine public and employee parking garages and lots in just 22 days. This rapid implementation benefits the airport's 40,000 employees and the 77.8 million passengers who traverse DEN annually, promising improved traffic flow and reduced wait times.
Mark Nagel, Senior Vice President of Parking and Commercial Transportation at Denver International Airport, praised the partnership, emphasizing Flash's commitment to enhancing the customer experience. The upgrade includes 144 lanes equipped with 137 kiosks, 97 license plate recognition (LPR) lanes, and 49 automatic vehicle identification (AVI) lanes, with the AVI lanes offering employees a seamless entry and exit process through vehicle-mounted passes.
Dan Sharplin, CEO of Flash, highlighted the platform's ability to meet DEN's high-volume demands, thanks to its technology breadth and focus on the driver experience. The cloud-based solution ensures continuous operations and payment processing, even during disruptions, providing reliability to the airport and its users.
