Pegasus Resources has announced encouraging results from its latest sampling initiative at the Energy Sands project located in Utah, a site with a history of uranium production. The company's CEO, Chris Timmins, disclosed that 13 out of 41 samples collected showed uranium (U3O8) grades surpassing 1%, with sample ESRS24-016 recording an exceptional 18.8% U3O8 concentration and sample ESRS24-007 yielding 3.5% U3O8. These findings not only confirm the high-grade uranium potential at Energy Sands but also bolster Pegasus Resources' confidence in the asset's mineralization, aiding in the strategic planning of drill targeting and the preparation of necessary permit applications to progress the project to a drill-ready phase.
The sampling program, conducted over 13 days, utilized the RS-125 handheld spectrometer to pinpoint uranium mineralization areas. Samples were gathered from various sources, including mineralized outcrops, tailings, and historical mine workings. This extensive geological mapping and sampling effort marks a pivotal advancement in Pegasus Resources' exploration endeavors, offering critical insights into the uranium and vanadium prospects of the Energy Sands property. The company is dedicated to utilizing this data to guide its sustainable resource development strategies, with the recent results underscoring the project's substantial potential and positioning Pegasus Resources for continued success in the uranium exploration sector.
