The National Contract Management Association (NCMA) has announced the appointment of Timothy Applegate as its Board Chair for the 2026 program year, starting July 1, 2025. Applegate, a retired Colonel in the United States Air Force and a distinguished member of the Senior Executive Service, brings a wealth of experience to the role, including overseeing an acquisition portfolio exceeding $20 billion as Director of the Acquisition Management and Integration Center at Headquarters Air Combat Command (ACC).
Applegate's long-standing commitment to NCMA, evidenced by his membership since 1992, his certification as a Professional Contract Manager™ (CPCM™), and his previous roles as Board Member and Advisor, positions him as a pivotal figure in the association's future. His leadership is expected to drive the NCMA's strategic objectives, including the advancement of the Common Language Initiative and the expansion of international partnerships to elevate the contract management profession.
