The Boho Foundation has announced the production of a new documentary series titled 'Unfolding Identity,' which will explore deeply personal narratives of migration, belonging, and self-discovery within Sikh and South Asian communities. The series aims to trace how individuals navigate questions of memory, identity, and cultural continuity, with each episode functioning as a cinematic portrait that blends poetic realism with journalistic rigor to create an immersive account of lived experience.
Guiding the creative vision is director and producer Salman Alam Khan, whose dual expertise bridges artistry and precision. Khan is known for developing visual narratives that resonate emotionally while maintaining historical and cultural integrity. His approach to 'Unfolding Identity' unites intimate storytelling with meticulous production oversight, ensuring that every frame reflects authenticity and empathy. Supporting this vision is Executive Producer Kamal Sandhu, whose strategic leadership and commitment to cultural storytelling help elevate the project's scope while preserving its creative integrity.

Episodes include conversations with acclaimed figures such as historian Amardeep Singh, actor Rizwan Manji, musician Ali Sethi, and Grammy-nominated rapper Raja Kumari, alongside community voices shaping South Asian culture in the diaspora today. From conception through post-production, Khan oversees every phase, working closely with cinematographer Austin Tremblay, editor Muhammad Kamran Fazal, and line producer Durva Nandapurkar to craft an emotionally grounded yet visually refined viewing experience.
