NOCO Distillery is expanding its global footprint while releasing a series of ultra-high-proof, single-barrel craft spirits that challenge conventional distilling limits. The Colorado-based distillery announced domestic expansion into Wisconsin alongside international launches in Hong Kong and Switzerland, with additional global markets in development. This strategic growth follows the company's most successful year to date in 2025 and coincides with the release of several boundary-pushing spirits that exceed 70% ABV.
The distillery's latest releases include Bourbon 4x – Second Edition, a four-times-distilled bourbon aged in a four-year seasoned oak barrel and bottled at cask strength (64.65% ABV). Despite its high proof, the bourbon maintains balance with notes of caramelized brown sugar, vanilla, and orange peel, finishing with clove, cocoa, espresso, and chocolate-covered orange. This release exemplifies NOCO's approach to creating high-proof spirits that retain complexity and drinkability.
More extreme expressions include a Port Barrel Finished Grape Brandy bottled at 73.9% ABV, which qualifies as HAZMAT and potentially ranks among the highest-ABV brandy releases ever produced. The distillery also introduced its first HAZMAT agave spirit, TOKILYA – Don Sebastian, crafted from 100% Blue Agave, aged more than four years in new American oak barrels, and bottled at 72.5% ABV. An upcoming release called "Sanguis Christi" is a high-rye bourbon finished in Ruby Port and Pedro Ximénez Sherry barrels and bottled at 64% ABV.
All NOCO releases are offered as single barrel expressions and feature innovative barrel and multi-barrel finishing techniques. The distillery produces more than 30 different spirits and distills the majority of its portfolio in-house, spanning whiskey, brandy, agave spirits, gin, liqueurs, and experimental releases. According to Distillery Manager Josh Green, "Innovation is key, and our master distiller is pushing the boundaries of craft distilling to a whole new level."
The company's expansion and product innovation reflect broader trends in the spirits industry toward premiumization, technical experimentation, and global market access. For business leaders and technology professionals, NOCO's approach demonstrates how traditional industries can leverage craftsmanship and innovation to create new market categories and expand internationally. The distillery's success with ultra-high-proof spirits suggests growing consumer interest in extreme expressions that challenge conventional strength limitations while maintaining balance and complexity.
NOCO Distillery's combination of domestic and international growth with technical innovation in high-proof spirits represents a significant development in the craft distilling sector. The company's expansion into markets like Hong Kong and Switzerland indicates the global appeal of American craft spirits, particularly those offering unique technical achievements and premium positioning.
