Golden Cariboo Resources Ltd. has reported results from diamond drilling at its Quesnelle Gold Quartz Mine property in British Columbia, with drill hole QGQ25-27 intersecting 0.89 grams per tonne gold over 70.65 meters from a near-surface depth of 14.20 meters within the Halo zone. The intercept included higher-grade sections, such as 3.25 g/t gold over 8.20 meters and 3.86 g/t gold over 5.20 meters. Drill hole QGQ25-26, drilled between the Main and Halo zones, intersected less favorable andesitic flow rock, with intervals showing 0.47 g/t gold over 4.44 meters and 0.56 g/t gold over 4.09 meters.
Company President and CEO Frank Callaghan stated that intersecting nearly 71 meters of continuous gold mineralization from near surface reinforces confidence in delineating a significant mineralized system. The results contribute to a dataset supporting a planned mineral resource estimate. Drilling continues with hole QGQ25-28 testing the northwest extension of the Halo zone, though QGQ25-27 was terminated prematurely due to technical issues.
The technical information was reviewed and approved by independent consultant Jean Pautler, a Qualified Person under NI 43-101. Drill core samples were analyzed at the accredited MSALABS laboratory in Prince George using aqua regia digest with ICP-AES finish for 35-element analysis and PhotonAssay™ for gold and silver, which uses larger sample sizes to better assess gold distribution in coarse gold settings characteristic of the Halo zone. Quality assurance and quality control samples constituted 5% of the total.
The Quesnelle Gold Quartz Mine property is located 4 kilometers northeast of Hixon, British Columbia, along a geological trend with historical gold production. The property shows similarities to the Spanish Mountain gold deposit 120 kilometers southeast, which is part of the epizonal orogenic subclass that includes world-class deposits like Muruntau in Uzbekistan and Bendigo in Australia. The property is bordered by Osisko Development and covers 94,899 hectares in the Cariboo Gold Project area.
