Hong Kong's Spring Tech Fairs to Showcase AI, Robotics and Smart Lighting Innovations

The Hong Kong Trade Development Council will stage four flagship technology fairs this April at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre, featuring over 3,700 exhibitors from 28 countries and regions. InnoEX and the Hong Kong Electronics Fair (Spring Edition) will run concurrently from April 13 to 16, while the Hong Kong International Lighting Fair (Spring Edition) and Smart Lighting Expo will take place from April 20 to 23. These events collectively represent one of Asia's most significant technology gatherings, offering business leaders and investors critical insights into emerging trends and collaboration opportunities.

Jenny Koo, Deputy Executive Director of the HKTDC, emphasized that these fairs align with Hong Kong's development into an international innovation and technology hub, supporting the government's I&T policy outlined in the latest Budget. Both InnoEX and the Electronics Fair will showcase AI-driven frontier technologies and market-ready applications, along with advanced electronic products. The lighting fairs will present smart lighting solutions and innovative products under the theme "Go Smart - Live Green." These events provide a platform for businesses to explore the latest market developments and foster cross-sector collaboration.

A major highlight of this year's InnoEX is "RoboPark," which makes its debut across both InnoEX and the Electronics Fair, featuring more than 100 robots across commercial, industrial, health, living, entertainment, and social applications. RoboPark includes four of the world's top five best-selling humanoid robot manufacturers from 2025: AgiBot, EngineAI, UBTECH, and Unitree. Additional participants include companies from "Hangzhou's Six Little Dragons" and "Shenzhen's Eight Great Guardians of Embodied Intelligence," along with Hong Kong startups Rice Robotics and SOTA Robotics. Over 40 events will be held at RoboPark during the exhibition, including technology demonstrations and networking platforms to help enterprises expand into overseas markets.

InnoEX expands its global reach with exhibitors from 21 countries and regions, including the United States, United Kingdom, Germany, Japan, and Israel. The Chinese mainland reinforces its presence with 17 provinces and cities forming 18 pavilions, including delegations from Zhongguancun and Xi'an Jiaotong University. Leading Chinese technology giants such as Huawei International, China Mobile Hong Kong, iFLYTEK, Tencent Cloud International, and Lenovo (Hong Kong) will also participate. The Digital Policy Office of the HKSAR Government will set up a large-scale "Smart Hong Kong Pavilion" themed "AI+ Hong Kong," showcasing over 100 I&T solutions across eight domains including public services, medical innovations, and low-altitude economy.

For the first time, InnoEX will co-organize the "Low-Altitude Economy Conference" with the Working Group on Developing the Low-Altitude Economy, bringing together industry experts to analyze policy trends and market potential. A dedicated Low-Altitude Economy Zone will showcase applications of low-altitude technologies with companies including Transcendence, Harmony SkyTech, and Damoda. All R&D centers established by the Hong Kong SAR Government will participate, including the newly merged Hong Kong Applied Science and Technology Research Institute and Nano and Advanced Materials Institute, along with Cyberport and Hong Kong Science and Technology Parks Corporation bringing more than 40 startups.

The Electronics Fair will focus on AI-driven electronic products across smart home solutions, health tech gadgets, and pet intelligence, with around 50 new products making their debut. The "Startup Zone" brings together over 60 startups, while an "Immersive Experience Zone" will present interactive experiences using VR, AR, and XR technologies. InnoEX and the Electronics Fair will jointly host more than 100 events featuring insights from industry experts, including representatives from Deloitte discussing human-centric AI and Google exploring smart home experiences. Overseas government representatives will also participate, with the Vice-minister of AI and Digital Development of Kazakhstan leading a delegation to share developments in low-altitude economy opportunities.

The Smart Lighting Expo and Hong Kong International Lighting Fair (Spring Edition) gather approximately 900 exhibitors, including renowned brands such as Foshan Electrical and Lighting, OPPLE Lighting, Shanghai Sansi, and Absen. This year receives strong support from Zhongshan City as Special Partner City, with the inaugural Zhongshan Guzhen Pavilion and Zhongshan Henglan Pavilion making their debut. A brand-new "Light Lab" will present smart lighting products through scenario-based design, while the SLE introduces a new "Smart Commercial Display and Stage Audio-visual Zone" featuring Absen's energy-saving displays that achieve over 50% energy savings.

These fairs form part of the Business of Innovation and Technology Week (BIT Week), which includes additional events such as the 3rd Hong Kong World Youth Science Conference, Hong Kong Web3 Festival 2026, and International Academicians Hong Kong Forum. During the exhibition period, the World Internet Conference Asia-Pacific Summit will take place concurrently from April 13 to 14, focusing on innovation and technology in the Asia-Pacific region to promote global digital innovation and technological exchange.
