Kaufman & Company, the permanent capital holding company led by Daniel Kaufman, has officially launched its unified platform with the debut of its new website, thekaufmanco.com. The launch culminates a year-long effort to consolidate ten operating companies, a seven-company venture portfolio under Kaufman Ventures, and a network of affiliated partnerships into one cohesive structure spanning residential development, workforce housing, AI infrastructure, and venture capital.
“Our 2026 launch slate marks the full convergence of real estate and technology,” said Daniel Kaufman, Founder and Principal of Kaufman & Company. “We’ve spent the last year bringing every company we’ve built or backed under one platform so they can share capital, data, and execution discipline instead of operating in silos. This is the structure the work has been building toward.”
The new platform organizes the operating businesses into a single entity for the first time, emphasizing a shared philosophy of strategic site selection, integrated design and construction execution, and underwriting discipline. The ten operating companies include Convivium Living, DanReDev, DEK Builds, Design Build Affordable, DK Homes, Forge Development Partners, Kaufman Development, Kaufman Real Estate & Consulting, LoneStar Kaufman, and Kaufman Ventures. Collectively, the platform reports more than $2 billion in project value delivered, more than 10,000 housing units developed, and over 25 years of experience.
The launch also formally introduces Kaufman Ventures, the platform’s venture investment arm, which holds stakes in seven technology companies built to serve the real estate industry. These include BridgeStar, an AI-powered partner portal; Meridian, portfolio intelligence tooling; LandBriefing, a national land intelligence platform; SpreadSight, data and analytics tooling; FoundCheck, diligence and benchmarking tooling; and ServerDomes, AI data center development. The venture strategy is to develop tools that Kaufman & Company’s own operating companies use first, then bring them to the broader real estate market.
The consolidation involved integrating financial reporting, shared services, and go-to-market strategy across companies that previously operated with varying degrees of independence, while preserving each business’s operating identity and leadership. The new website also introduces a public-facing partner portal at BridgeStar.ai, giving borrowers, investors, and partners direct access to deal information across the platform, along with Media & Press and U.S. Real Estate Journal sections.
“Every company on this platform still runs the way it always has, with its own team and its own market focus,” Kaufman added. “What changes is that we can now move capital, share underwriting discipline, and put technology like BridgeStar and Meridian to work across all of them at once. That is what this launch represents.”
The move is significant for the real estate and technology industries as it demonstrates a growing trend of integrating AI and data-driven tools into traditional real estate operations. By centralizing operations and technology, Kaufman & Company aims to enhance efficiency and scalability across its portfolio, potentially setting a precedent for other holding companies to follow. The platform’s focus on workforce housing and AI infrastructure also aligns with broader market demands for affordable housing and technological innovation in property development.
