Mutares SE & Co. KGaA announced the sale of Redo Oy, a Finnish provider of property remediation services, to Invex Group, a Norway-based industrial investor. The transaction, finalized on July 15, 2026, gives Redo access to a broader Nordic platform through Invex Group's subsidiary Recover, which is active in remediation and restoration services across Scandinavia.
Redo is one of Finland's leading providers of first-response and property remediation services, specializing in inspection, demolition, drying, and reconstruction related to water, fire, moisture, and odor damage. The company employs approximately 250 people and generated revenues of about EUR 25 million in 2025. With a nationwide network of more than 20 locations, Redo can serve around 80% of the Finnish population within one hour.
Since joining Mutares in 2023, Redo underwent a comprehensive transformation and optimization program. The sale to a strategic buyer reflects the industrial attractiveness and future growth potential of the business, according to Mutares. Johannes Laumann, CIO of Mutares, stated: "We are pleased to have found the right long-term owner for Redo in Invex Group. Their strong Nordic presence and industry expertise provide an excellent platform for the company's continued development."
For business leaders, this deal highlights the growing consolidation in the Nordic remediation market, as specialized service providers seek scale and geographic reach. Redo's integration into Invex Group's platform could enable it to win larger contracts and improve operational efficiencies, potentially setting a precedent for similar transactions in the region. The acquisition also underscores the value that private equity firms like Mutares create through operational improvements before exiting to strategic buyers.
Mutares, a listed private equity holding company based in Munich, acquires companies in transition and resells them after stabilization. The firm has offices in multiple countries, including the UK, US, and India. More information about Mutares can be found at www.mutares.com.
