Paluxy Music Fest Returns to Glen Rose with Free Live Music Over Memorial Day Weekend

The annual Paluxy Music Fest will bring three days of free live music to Glen Rose, Texas, over Memorial Day weekend, Friday, May 22 through Sunday, May 24. The city-wide festival features performances at venues across the community, including the Historic Square, Snyder's Tavern Lawn Stage, Texas Amphitheater, Sexton Feed Mill, Glen Rose Brewing Company, and H&H Supply Company. Festivalgoers can enjoy country, Americana, jazz, blues, gospel, and acoustic music while exploring local restaurants, attractions, lodging, shopping, and entertainment venues.

Friday and Saturday will showcase a lineup of country and Americana artists, while Sunday transitions into a relaxed jazz and blues atmosphere. In addition to live music, attendees can visit vendor booths on the Historic Downtown Square on Saturday and Sunday, featuring shopping, local businesses, artisan goods, and community organizations.

"All concerts are free to attend, making this a perfect Memorial Day weekend destination for families, visitors, and live music fans," festival organizers said. "We're excited to celebrate local talent, support our local businesses, and bring the community together through music."

The festival schedule includes performances such as Hard Nights Day and Le Freak on Friday, and a Saturday lineup featuring Trinity River Ramblers, Caleb Sam Brown, Jesse Jennings, Jamie Richards, and Kevin Fowler. Sunday's Jazz & Blues Day includes performances by the School of Music at the University of North Texas, Ben B & Anthony S, and Kevin Vaughn, among others. Gospel Hour will be held at Sexton Feed Mill at 11:30 a.m., and open mic sessions are scheduled for the afternoon.

All concerts are free to attend, and parking is free throughout downtown Glen Rose. Parking at the Texas Amphitheater is available for $10 during concert performances. Shuttle transportation will be available during portions of the festival weekend to help attendees travel between venues.

Attendees are encouraged to arrive early, bring lawn chairs, and explore local restaurants and shops. The festival provides an opportunity for businesses and community organizations to engage with visitors, potentially boosting local tourism and economic activity during the holiday weekend. For leaders in business and technology, the event highlights how community-driven initiatives can leverage cultural attractions to drive foot traffic and support local economies.

Additional event information and updates are available through local festival announcements and community event channels.
