Skyharbour Options Yurchison Uranium Property to Purecore Metals in $6.75M Deal

Skyharbour Resources Ltd. (TSX-V: SYH) (OTCQX: SYHBF) (Frankfurt: SC1P) has entered into a definitive option agreement with Purecore Metals (CSE: PURE), granting Purecore the right to earn up to a 100% interest in the Yurchison uranium property located in northern Saskatchewan. The agreement is structured to provide Skyharbour with significant cash and share payments, as well as exploration expenditures, while retaining a royalty interest.

Under the terms of the agreement, Purecore can earn an initial 70% interest in the Yurchison property by making cash payments totaling C$350,000, issuing C$700,000 in shares to Skyharbour, and incurring C$3.5 million in exploration expenditures over a three-year period. To acquire the remaining 30% interest, Purecore must pay an additional C$3 million in cash and issue C$3 million in shares, after which Skyharbour will retain a 2% net smelter return royalty.

The Yurchison property comprises 22 claims covering approximately 35,029 hectares, situated about 75 kilometers south of Cameco's Rabbit Lake operation, with Highway 905 crossing the property. Historical surface samples from the area have returned uranium values ranging from 0.09% to 0.30% U3O8 and molybdenum values from 2,500 to 6,400 ppm. Recent exploration work, including airborne electromagnetic, magnetic, and radiometric surveys, was completed in 2022 and 2023, indicating the property's potential for further discovery.

This agreement aligns with Skyharbour's strategy of creating value through partnerships across its extensive Athabasca Basin portfolio. By optioning the Yurchison property, Skyharbour can focus its exploration efforts on its core Moore and Russell assets while still benefiting from the advancement of other properties through partner-funded exploration. The company's portfolio includes an interest in 44 projects covering over 682,100 hectares (1.69 million acres) in the Athabasca Basin, which is recognized as one of the world's premier uranium districts.

Skyharbour's flagship Moore Uranium Project, located 15 kilometers east of Denison's Wheeler River project and 39 kilometers south of Cameco's McArthur River mine, has demonstrated high-grade uranium mineralization at the Maverick Zone, with drill results including up to 6.0% U3O8 over 5.9 meters, including 20.8% U3O8 over 1.5 meters at a vertical depth of 265 meters. The company is also advancing the Russell Lake project area in partnership with Denison Mines, a joint venture that hosts multiple zones of high-grade mineralization.

The company has established joint ventures with industry leaders Denison Mines and Orano Canada Inc., and has signed option agreements with several other partners, including Nexus Uranium Corp., North Shore Uranium, UraEx Resources, Future Fuels, Mustang Energy, and Terra Clean Energy. In aggregate, these partnerships could bring in over $79 million in partner-funded exploration expenditures and over $52 million in cash and share payments, assuming all earn-ins are completed.

This deal underscores the continued interest in uranium exploration, driven by improving market fundamentals and the growing demand for nuclear energy as a clean power source. For stakeholders in the mining and energy sectors, the agreement represents a strategic move to leverage assets efficiently, potentially accelerating exploration and development activities in a geopolitically favorable jurisdiction like Canada.
