These awards recognize VetosEurope's pioneering approach to reducing methane emissions in cattle while enhancing productivity.
The company's flagship product, Anavrin, is a natural feed supplement designed to inhibit methane production in ruminants. Methane is a greenhouse gas 28 times more potent than carbon dioxide, and livestock digestion is a major source of emissions. VetosEurope's solution addresses this challenge by leveraging scientific research and nature-identical compounds. Independent trials conducted by Universidad de la República in Montevideo, Uruguay, and Wageningen University and Research in the Netherlands have validated Anavrin's effectiveness. The Uruguay studies demonstrated methane reductions of up to 17.5%, while Wageningen's controlled chamber trials reported a 13% reduction in methane production and a 16.3% decrease in methane intensity. Importantly, these trials also confirmed that Anavrin maintains milk yield and supports overall animal productivity.
Beyond its environmental benefits, Anavrin offers significant productivity gains. The supplement increases meat yield by 70 grams per day and milk output by 1.5 liters per day. This dual advantage—climate impact and enhanced performance—positions VetosEurope as a competitive player in the agritech sector. The UK-based Carbon Trust has formally validated Anavrin's effectiveness, adding international credibility to the product.
VetosEurope was founded over a decade ago by a family with deep roots in the global live-cattle trade, combined with a team of scientists specializing in natural feed supplements.
