Starting July 22, Verizon customers can preorder Samsung's latest foldable smartphones, the Galaxy Z Fold8 and Galaxy Z Fold8 Ultra, alongside the Galaxy Watch9 and Watch Ultra2. The devices are available through Verizon's new Simplicity Plan and My Biz Plan, which the carrier says removes plan complexity to put control back in customers' hands. By pairing Samsung's innovative folding technology with Simplicity, customers get fast speeds on Verizon's 5G network with zero network tiers and full device freedom.
The Galaxy Z Fold8, priced at $1,899.99, is designed for high-performance productivity and seamless multitasking on a spacious, immersive screen. It will be available in Lavender, Graphite, and Cream. The Galaxy Z Fold8 Ultra, starting at $2,099.99, comes in Violet Shadow, Graphite, and Cream. The Galaxy Watch9 starts at $429.99, and the rugged Galaxy Watch Ultra2 at $699.99.
Verizon's promotional offers aim to reduce the cost of entry for these high-end devices. New customers can get the Galaxy Z Fold8 (256GB) for $60 a month for 48 months, with no trade-in required. This includes the phone at $30 a month and a $30 Simplicity plan. The offer requires a new smartphone line on the Simplicity Plan, enrollment in Auto Pay and paper-free billing (saving $10 a month), and switching a number from another carrier (saving $15 a month). Verizon applies $460 in promotional credits over 48 months to lower the monthly device payment to $30.
For the Galaxy Z Fold8 Ultra, new customers can save up to $420, bringing the monthly device payment to $35. This requires similar conditions: a new line on Simplicity, Auto Pay, paper-free billing, and porting a number within 45 days. Existing customers upgrading to Unlimited Plus or Unlimited Ultimate plans can save up to $1,100 by trading in an eligible phone, with credits applied over 36 months.
Verizon is also offering the Ultimate Bundle: buy a new Samsung phone on a payment plan or bring your own Samsung phone with a new line, and get a new Galaxy Watch9 and a Galaxy Tab S10 FE on us. The carrier covers hardware costs through monthly promotional credits up to $650 per device over 36 months, with additional service lines starting at $15 a month with Auto Pay.
For business customers, Verizon offers up to $900 off the Galaxy Z Fold8 series for new and existing Verizon Business customers adding a new line or upgrading with a qualifying trade-in, with device payment plan and My Biz Plan with $15+ monthly add-on spending required.
Verizon is also enhancing the customer experience with its new loyalty program, offering cash back in Verizon Dollars every month, daily surprises, and the end of upgrade and activation fees. Additionally, the Verizon Shine program gives customers a chance to win once-in-a-lifetime experiences, tickets to concerts, and more.
For entertainment, customers purchasing a qualifying Galaxy Z Fold8 or Ultra can get the Disney+, Hulu, & ESPN+ (With Ads) Perk for six months on us, then $10 a month, with Simplicity Plan or myPlan.
Preorders begin July 22 at Verizon stores, verizon.com, and the My Verizon app, with full retail availability on August 7. This launch underscores Verizon's strategy to simplify pricing and make advanced technology more affordable, potentially driving adoption of foldable devices among a broader audience.
